just wanna....advertise smt! =P

okok. according to a few sites,
a movie is coming up on 28may [i mean in singapore], called
Dance, Subaru!

let you all see the hongkong trailer first.

as you can see, the main genre on the movie is...
ballet and contemporary.
i have to say that i'm not really into ballet and contemp.
though...i did ballet before and is in my school's contemp dance team.
as i said before, contemp to me is more like.....rolling around, jumping around, running around.
the end.
BUT.
i have watched this movie, TWICE. *shhhhh*
the storyline isn't bad, it's basically talking about the life of a girl called Subaru.
[of course, there are other things but i shan't spoil the movie.]

what really attracted me, are the dances.
[there are other reasons i watched the movie too...but that's outta the main point.]
as i said, i'm not that into ballet and contemp.
but in this movie, it's different. at least it seems different.
the dances just make me go "wow", "wow", "wow" and "wow".
also, there were some things about the attitude a dancer should have when they're on stage.
which i agree to most of it, except that we should be dancing for God and not ourselves. XP
oh and it was interesting to know how people see hiphop in ballet's point-of-view. haha

i shan't say that much, in case that'd spoil the movie. XP
but do feel free to ask me qns. i'll....see if i can answer. =]

so yeah. i really suggest you all to watch it!!
though for productions we rarely use plain contemp or ballet,
i still find it worthwhile!
[but i do see that yDance is getting stronger in terms of a wide range of genre too!]
